CRIME BEAT
A constable attached to CAR Headquarters, Mysore Road, died after he knocked down by a car near Jakkur Aerodrome on Bellary Road on Thursday night.

Hotel brawl:2 nabbed
Cubbon Park Police finally succeeded in arresting two persons in connection with the incident involving a group of around 20 persons ransacking Hotel Empire on the night of September 9.

The accused have been identified as C M Kaarthick (24) and Nanaiah (22), both residents of Mudalapalya.
A few others involved in the incident are still absconding and the search is on to arrest them, said the police.

Cop run over by speeding car
A constable attached to CAR Headquarters, Mysore Road, died after he knocked down by a car near Jakkur Aerodrome on Bellary Road on Thursday night.

He has been identified as Sultan Rao Sindhia (52). He was rushed to a hospital, where he died.

Car driver Vinay (19), a resident of Bettahosur, was arrested on charges of rash driving.

Fake CDs worth Rs 4 lakh seized
HAL police arrested nine persons on charges of selling fake electronic gadgets and recovered CDs, MP3s, DVDs worth Rs 4 lakh on Thursday. Police arrested them while they were trying to sell these gadgets on the footpath on Marathalli main road.
