According to a press release, drawing competitions will commence at 9.30 am and the quiz competition at 2 pm. The theme for both the competitions will be ‘nature and wildlife.’

The competition will be held in four categories, viz., first standard and below; II to IV standard; V to VII standard and VIII to X standard. The drawing sheet for the drawing competition will be supplied at the venue. The participants have to bring the necessary drawing materials along with them. Three prizes in each category will be given to the winning students. A live demonstration of snakes by experts will also be held.

Those students who would like to participate in these competitions should inform with the details like their name, school, class and the competition in which they take part etc to the office of the Director, Dr Shivaram Karanth Pilikula Biological Park, Vamanjoor, Mangalore-28, on or before October 10. There will be a mass vaccination camp, anti rabies vaccination for dogs and preventive vaccination for foot and mouth disease to the cattle at Moodushedde panchayat office on October 13 between 9.30 am and 12.30 pm.
