A person died in an head on collision between a tractor and a tata sumo occurred on Thursday night on National Highway-7 at Nandi cross in Chikkaballapur taluk.

The identity of the deceased has yet to be ascertained. The empty liquor bottles probably transported in the tata sumo, were lied strewn on the road.

Traffic affected
The mishap affected the vehicular movement still Circle Inspector Tippeswamy, Sub Inspectors Gopalanayak and Keshavamurty rushed to the spot.

A case has been registered at the rural police station.
