To help the  senior  citizens in Tumkur, the administration has given official permission for a elder’s helpline. This  was  announced  in a press release.

The helpline will operate from the District superintendent ‘s office and  will function with the cooperation of police men. Proposals have been  invited  from concerned NGOs’. Interested  parties are  requested  to  submit their proposals by the 12th of this  month to the Physically challenged welfare officer, Deputy Director’s office, Women and Child welfare  department, Tumkur.

Inauguration
The new  building of Saurab Women cooperative union was recently inaugurated In Tiptur at K R  Layout.
The programme was presided by  Annapuramma Manjunath. The president of the cooperative Ashakiran presented a report on the  various programmes undertaken by the organisation.

Honour
A few members of the association were also honoured at the programme. Legislator B  Nanjamari was also present at the occasion.

Asha Kiran was  re elected as the president for the  next term as well.
