Lenovo joined hands with Radio Indigo 91.9 FM to broadcast from the DJ console from October 1 to 6, from 7 am to 8 pm. The studio for seven days is situated in a life size laptop.
With the life size laptop and music beaming out, it created much excitement among passers-by. Leaving behind the sound proof studios to capture all the excitement, RJs Malavika, Meghana, Ayesha and Rohit Barker have been going live from the Audio DJ Console through the week.
“This is for the first time an FM radio coming with an outdoor studio broadcasting. Enthusiasts are stopping by to meet and greet their favourite RJs. Technology tied up with music act as an innovative marketing strategy for both Lenovo and Radio Indigo, says Sowmya Ravindranath, Image Manager, Radio Indigo.
There are contests lined up for every day - Music mixing, Mock RJing, Air guitar amongst a host of games to keep the crowd entertained. The event also has contests to test participants on their 'Selling skills'. The lucky winner will be treated with the grand prize of the new Lenovo 3000 Y410 laptop featuring Audio DJ.
Around 100 people, mostly college students were participating in the contests daily. Some of the participants with outstanding skills were given a chance to air their voice through the Radio Indigo ‘laptop studio’. There were 3 sessions of programmes daily, from 7 to 11 ‘Indigo Rising’ anchored by Malavika, from 11 to 2 ‘Day Tripping’ by Meghna and from 2 to 5 ‘Indigo Juke Box’, a request show by Ayesha. The music loving road goers has now got a chance to make the choice of their favourite song directly before the RJ. The song broadcasting is done from the main studio of Radio Indigo at Koramangala, where as the RJ’s work from the out door station. Even though the event is a promotional programme for both Radio Indigo and Lenovo, it is creating a one week fun and excitement for the Bangaloreans.
