Heavy rains claimed five lives in Visakhapatnam, including a woman and her two children. The rains caused by low pressure in the Bay of Bengal, have been lashing the north coastal areas or Vizianagaram and Srikakulam since Thursday.

The worst affected is Visakhapatnam with several areas getting waterlogged. Officials evacuated hundreds of families from flooded low-lying areas and have housed them in six relief camps in the city.
