A court here on Friday sentenced Sarfraz Nawaz, an accused in the multi-crore fake stamp paper scam involving Abdul Karim Telgi, to five years rigorous imprisonment.

Awarding the sentence to Nawaz, currently lodged in a Bangalore jail, special CBI judge N Velu, however, said the prison term already undergone by him would be reduced from the sentence.
