As part of the silver jubilee celebrations of Vanitha Seva Samaja and Yuvathi Mandala of 5th division Katipalla-Krishnapur region, religious and cultural programmes will be organised from October 12 to 16, informed Rajatha Mahotsava Samiti Cultural Secretary Pushpa M S Rao.

Speaking at a press meet, she said celebrating the silver jubilee year from 2006 to 2007, as many as 25 programmes were organised including summer camp, programmes for the disabled and aged, silver cricket tourney for boys, women’s empowerment programme,  cultural and Tulu koota. Apart from the continuous religious programmes which will be organised from October 12 to 16, a district-level ‘goodudeepa’ competition will be organised on October 16 and 17 and prizes will be distributed.  A mass Chandikayaga will be organised on October 17, wherein annasantharpane will be arranged for 5,000 people. Moreover, 25 poor women will be donated clothes on the occasion, she added.
