India-born celebrity fashion designer Anand Jon has been charged with 59 counts of assault on at least 20 women in a fresh indictment which includes two more alleged victims.
Jon, 33, was charged on Thursday with 54 felony counts and five misdemeanors, including forcible rape, lewd acts upon a child, contributing to the delinquency of a minor and sexual battery by restraint.
Out of the 20 victims, aged between 14 and 27, seven are from California, while the remaining are from eight other US states and two foreign countries, according to the indictment, which was unsealed by Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge David Wesley.
Jon is being held without bail, which the prosecutors had asked to be set at $ 5.1 million, pending for an October 25 hearing, Los Angeles Times reported.
The designer, who is also being investigated in Texas, New York and Massachusetts, was on March 13 arrested from his Beverly Hills apartment after a woman charged him of sexual assault.
Jon has dressed celebrities including Paris Hilton, Nicky Hilton, Mary J Blige and Norah Jones.
