Overconfidence & blatant talks do not help in making good sportsmen. Indian T20 winners should realize this. By undermining the Australians after their victory in T20, they felt they were the greatest cricketers of the season. Now they are biting dust as they are faltering as seen in the first 3 ODI's.
Despite the senior players' return, the form is lacking. To be a good cricketer one has to be capable to convert the talk into the game, but Indians never learn. They have resorted to chattering on the field and media wrongly calls it aggression. I would call it frustration- for not being able to improve upon their own skills. Australians are always on top of their game, they play confidently and keep improving all the time. They have time and again proved that they are mentally stronger, alert and sensible. Just one loss in the semis and the Indian players have started roaring at the backyard.
By handing out a crore plus, BCCI is spoiling its own players. Australians deserve to be where they are and what they are; Indians are far behind as they lack self belief and consistency.
As Dhoni rightly said, Indians played without any pressure and so they won. Now back in India they seem to be under pressure from home crowds. Players like Sreesanth, Robin, Harbhajan have to learn the hard way to perform with their consistent performance. The bat and ball should do the talking. Playing right across the line of the ball or bowling without a plan makes no intelligent cricket. Sadly, this is what we see emerging time and again from Indian players.
