Police recover stolen cables
Chikkaballapur, DHNS: Youth Leader Musturu Muniraju has appreciated the Police for handing over the stolen cables to the farmers.

 Thieves had stolen the cables attached to farmers’ pump sets in Gere Halli Musturu, Hunegal, Gundlagurki and other villages. But, the police recovered the cables from them and returned it to the farmers, he said.

The poor farmers are extremely happy about it and would co-operate with the police in future, he added.

Power theft: 6 arrested
Chikkaballapur, DHNS: Six persons have been arrested on charges of power theft in the district, said BESCOM Vigilance Squad.

The Vigilance Squad has found 55 power theft cases and fined Rs 19,7411.  Along with this, they completed 66 cases and fined Rs 21,5562, said Vigilance Squad Inspector Ashok. Assistant Chief  Executive Engineer M Pratap, staff Prasad, Jagadish, Ramakrishnappa, Ashwathha Narayana, Anjanappa, Somashekhar and others were part of the squad.

Murder: 2 arrested
Bangarpet, DHNS:  In a shocking incident, it has been discovered that a person was murdered and later hanged to a tree last week, here on Friday.

The dead has been identified Ramesh (24), son of G Narayanaswamy, a resident of Doddayaluvalli. Ramesh had left home on September 27 and was found hanging to a tree on September 28, sources said.

Relatives had thought that he might have committed suicide due to frustration in life.

Now, it is found that he was murdered.

Eye witness Venkatesh has reportedly told Ramesh’s father that it wasn’t a suicide but murder. As a result Ramesh’s father Narayanaswamy had filed a complaint against Byatappa and Ratnamma.

Sub-inspector Y S Mohan has arrested them following the complaint and started  further investigation.
