UK to ignore Pak aggression
UNITED NATIONS, Oct. 6.
The British delegation at the United Nations is understood to have finalised a draft resolution on Kashmir, the debate on which will be resumed in the Security Council on Tuesday.

Past resolutions on Kashmir in the Security Council have been sponsored by the United States and Britain with other countries as were willing to co-sponsor the resolution. On the present occasion, it is not known whether the United States or Australia will join in the resolution.

Unification of Asian ideals
TOKIO, Oct. 6.
India’s Prime Minister, Mr Nehru, today called for the “unification of the ideals of Asia,” and added that he did not want to mediate in the problem of Chinese-United States relations.

Mr Nehru, a State guest of the Japanese government, granted a 45-minute  interview to Motoo Hirooka, Chief Political Editor of “Asahi Shimbun,” at Hakone.

The Indian Prime Minister was quoted as saying, “Although India has no plan to mediate in Communist Chinese-United States relations, I believe the American people are realistic and business-like.

Indo-Bangla pact on Ganga waters

NEW DELHI, Oct. 6.
There appeared to be reasonable ground for optimism in regard to a solution of the most contentious Indo-Bangladesh issue of the sharing of the Ganga waters at the end of the first day of Gen. Ershad’s visit today.
While there were no indications of a positive break-through, hopes were held out officially that the “progress” achieved during today’s discussions at various level could be concertised through an agreement.
