What people say...
DH News Service, Bangalore:
Till yesterday, the common question aired by the public was - Will he handover or not? Today, they say, "he shouldnt have done this to Yediyurappa".

Here he is - Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy. In fact, more than Kumaraswamy, it is his father H D Deve Gowda who is receiving the brickbats from the public. Another common comment by the public is, “left to himself, Kumaraswamy would have handed over the charge to Yediyurappa. But his father did not allow him to take an independent decision”.

Listen to the voice of a section of Bangaloreans...

“Mr Kumaraswamy should have handed over power to the BJP. He himself joined hands with the BJP as he was upset with continuing coalition with the Congress. It is his duty. On the other hand BJP too should have been more cautious while going for understanding with the JD(S).”
Srinivas,
Senior Sales Executive, Media Star publications

“I am happy with the CM’s achievements in the last 20 months. He became popular as he worked for more than 16 hours a day for the State. But he should not have tarnished his own image by going against the agreement.”
Ramegowda,
Purchase in-charge in a star hotel

“It’s because of BJP Mr Kumaraswamy ruled the State in the last 20 months. BJP, though it had emerged single largest party, made him the CM. He should have not betrayed the BJP.”
Anand Bali, Marketing manager in a  star hotel

“Kumaraswamy did a wonderful job during his term. Now his popularity is at its peak. Kumaraswamy must be thinking that if he hands over power to the BJP, Yediyurappa would become more popular during his term and outsmart him. I strongly feel Kumaraswamy should have stood by the agreement.”
Sathish, driver

“After enjoying power for 20 months, now the JD(S) leaders have come up with an allegation of 200 pages. This is not ethics.
Former PM Deve Gowda says, BJP is communal but if the BJP allows his son Kumaraswamy to continue as CM then the BJP is not communal. What more can I say than sheer opportunism.”
M S Allama Prabhu, Chartered Accountant

“JD(S)’ allegations are just like a husband, who, after celebrating honeymoon is questioning fidelity. The JD(S) is taking citizens for granted. All the developmental works has already come to a stand-still and if mid-term elections take place then money spent would go into the account of ‘non-developmental expenditure’.”
