Members of ‘Bhoo Swaadheena Virodhi Horata Samithi’ on Saturday’ slammed State Cabinet’s decision to constitute a review committee to analyse the proposal for the multi-product Special Economic Zone in Nandagudi, in Hoskote Taluk.
The members said that Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy had assured them earlier, that villagers will not be displaced for acquiring land for the project and added that the Cabinet decision, in effect, meant a clear go-ahead for the acquisition process.
The State Cabinet had on Friday decided to form a committee headed by the Chief Secretary to study the agreement document submitted by the SEZ promoters — SKIL Infrastructure Ltd — on the 12,350-acre SEZ.
