'Spoorthi' at Jain College
DH News Service, Bangalore:

Sri Bhagawan Mahaveer Jain College will conduct ‘Spoorthi ‘07’, an annual intercollegiate commerce and science fest, on October 8 at Dr Ambedkar Bhavan in Millers Road.

Organised under the banner ‘Taru Samskriti’, the fest will be held for two days. On the first day, separate events will be conducted for science and commerce students.

For science students, events like creative experiment, pick ‘n’ speak, quizzing, lecture contest, clay modelling and collage will be held and, for commerce students programmes include mad ads, corporate quiz, personality contest and a case study on HR policy.

On the second day, October 9, it is going to be cultural extravaganza. Most of the programmes slated on this day will be based on the Indian theme.

Some of the programmes are: Nrityageethollaasa (different kinds of dance), Naatyaollaasa (Indian dance), Swaraollaasa(singing competition) and Vaadyaollaasa (instrument playing competition). About 15 colleges from various parts of the City are expected to participate in the fest.
