Spears on verge of bankruptcy
Troubled pop singer Britney Spears has been ordered by a court to pay for her own counselling and drug-testing before she can retain custody of her two sons. But her friends say she has very little money left, reports IANS from New York.

“People are very worried about Britney because she is running out of money. Her perfume didn’t do well. She has no cash flow coming in and she’s spending money like water,” pagesix.com quoted an inside source as saying.
Just this week Spears spent money on three different hotel rooms in three nights.

Spice Girls to travel in style
The Spice Girls will execute their reunion world tour in a super stylish way — by travelling in a Boeing 757 equipped with a creche and make-up parlour, reports ANI from London.

The aircraft, nicknamed ‘Spice Force One’ will jet the vivacious five around the world when they kick-start their world tour in December.

The stylish jet, adorned with official Spice Girls reunion artwork, including a creche and make-up parlour, will transport Victoria Beckham, Melanie Brown, Emma Bunton, Melanie Chisholm and Geri Halliwell, as well as their families, management, wardrobe and make-up assistants and bodyguards.

“Spice Force One will be a flying palace,” the Daily Mail quoted a source, as saying.

The all-girl band will begin their worldwide reunion tour on December 2 in Vancouver, their first since Geri Halliwell quit the group in May 1998.

Pamela racks up third marriage
Television star and pin-up queen Pamela Anderson married one of Paris Hilton’s ex-boy friend between performances in a Las Vegas magic show on Saturday, according to celebrity magazine People.

The Baywatch star, 40, wed Robert Salomon, 38, at the Mirage Hotel during a brief ceremony before her children and other family members, People cited sources as saying.

Anderson and the groom timed the nuptials to take place during the 90-minute break between performances in which she assists stage magician Hans Klok.

Anderson was married from 1995 to 1998 to ‘Motley Crue’ drummer Lee, with whom she has two children, and to rocker Kid Rock for four months in 2006.

Salomon was once married to Shannon Doherty, star of Beverly Hills 90210 and Charmed.

“The greatest revenge is true happiness,” Anderson wrote in an entry in a diary posted on Saturday on her official website.

Beggar shames cellular provider
A Pakistani beggar shamed a cellular operator when he reminded it that whatever be his profession, he deserved to be treated like any other subscriber and be shown the same courtesies, IANS reports from Islamabad.

Muhammad Zafar, who has for long been begging on the streets of Sialkot in Punjab, was miffed when the guards at a Mobilink franchise tried to stop him from entering the shop.

“The man, clad in his ‘professional attire’, first snubbed the guard and then addressed the franchise staff, saying right now he was a customer deserving all the respect and care the multinational firm claimed to have for its subscribers,” Dawn newspaper reported on Sunday.

He told the staff that he was visiting the shop not to seek alms but obtain a duplicate SIM card.

“After getting the SIM, he left the franchise but not without delivering a thorough lecture on the importance of customer care,” Dawn said.
