In order to ease frequent traffic congestion in the city, the city police cleared off all the hoardings, coin booths and roadside traders which were obstructing the movement of the traffic on Sunday.

In a swift operation, police seized the articles erected on the pavements and warned the traders who had occupied the pavements to clear off.  This operation of the police comes after a meeting with the DC who had ordered the Police to clear road encroachments.

 The operation has been held to ensure smooth flow of  traffic and strict action will be taken against those who encroach the roads, warned DySP Nanaiah.
