Eight college girls accused of ragging their juniors at a management institute were arrested here on Monday.
The girls, all students of Institute of Hotel Management (IHM), arrived at the Kamla Nagar police station with their parents and surrendered. They were arrested and later released on bail, police station in-charge R S Goraiyya said.
Suspension
After the case of ragging was reported, the girls were suspended from the college and a fine of Rs 2,000 was imposed on each of them. Five of the accused were also suspended from the college hostel.
The complainants alleged in their report that they were humiliated by their seniors who asked them indecent questions.
