“Ghandhiji was knowingly or unknowingly a great public relation expert who valued words.
The entire Quit India movement was summed up in three words ‘Do or Die,’ ‘Karenge ya Marenge’.
Can anyone think of more powerful words to sum up the challenge to the British,” opined Prasar Bharathi Chairman and Manipal Institute of Communication Honorary Director Dr M V Kamath.
Delivering the keynote address at the inaugural ceremony of Manipal chapter of Public Relations Council of India (PRCI) in Manipal, Dr Kamath said that Public Relation is a concept which cannot be defined in precise terms. It is a part of the larger theme of the communication between the individuals and institutions with public at large.
“The concept of Public Relations was in its infancy in the forties, but it has bloomed in to mighty tree in the last six decades, he added.
