A well-equipped Diabetes Centre at an estimated cost of Rs 6 crore will come up in Bangalore, said Medical Education Minister Dr V S Acharya.
Speaking at the launching of super speciality centres at Yenepoya Hospital in Mangalore on Sunday, he said the government has already approved the Centre. Mangalore, Dharwad and Shimoga will have its sub-centres.
He said Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts are forerunners in the field of education and health care. Private people have been playing a vital role in the education and health sectors in these two districts. All the super speciality centres should be accessible to commonman, he said.
