AP Cong chiefs son shoots friend
Hyderabad, DH News Service:

In an incident that has sent shock waves through the ruling Congress party, the son of Andhra Pradesh Congress chief K Keshava Rao is reported to have been involved in a shoot-out in the city on Sunday in which one person died.
According to preliminary information, the shoot-out took place in K Venkat's house in the posh Jubilee Hills in which Venkat's friend and business partner Prashant Reddy was killed.
Venkat and Prashant Reddy were partners in the booming real estate business and reportedly had developed differences. Reddy went to Venkat's house on Sunday afternoon and had lunch.
Killing arguments
However, at around 5:00 pm they had an argument followed by a shoot out. Reddy who sustained a bullet wound in his head was rushed to hospital where he was declared brought dead. Venkat too was admitted into the emergency in the same hospital for breathlessness.
According to police sources, the weapon used in the crime belonged to Venkat and it is said to be an unlicensed one.  PCC president Keshava Rao who was on a tour in Karimnagar district rushed back to the city on hearing the news.
Venkat has been in trouble earlier too. In May, he and Prashant Reddy allegedly assaulted former volleyball captain Ravikanth Reddy in Venkat's house over a dispute over a property deal.
Attempt to murder
In July, the son Congress MLA P Janardhan Reddy, and brother and nephew of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy assaulted each other in a road rage incident, resulting in a case of attempt to murder filed against Janardhan Reddy’s son.
