A ten-year-old boy burnt himself to death here while trying to imitate the feat as featured in a television showcalled “Shabbash India’’.
After watching the show, the boy poured kerosene on himself and set himself afire on Saturday.
Thereafter, Deepak Pandurang Harne, in an alighted condition, started running through the streets in a bid to imitate the feat telecast on TV.
People in the neighbourhood stopped him and doused the flame after wrapping blankets around the boy. He was later rushed to the civil hospital here.
However, the boy had sustained 90 per cent burns and died this morning, police said.
