A man has claimed in an email to an Indian blogger that former model Geetanjali Nagpal, who was found begging in the capital, was his wife and wants her back.
In his email to one, Sheetal, whose identity could not be verified, posted in a blog, the man identifying himself as German national Robert Stuempfl claimed that they separated because Nagpal wanted “to be free and (they) had a lot of trouble between each other”.
Pictures posted on the blog show a woman resembling the model with a child in her arms.
Stuempfl claims in the email, written in broken English, that the model is the mother of his son Arthur who “needs his real mom” and he “really does not care” what had happened to her.
Nagpal (32), a contemporary of the likes of Bollywood actress Sushmita Sen, had hit the headlines after a photo- journalist found her begging in a market in South Delhi on September 2. She is presently admitted to VIMHANS hospital here, where she is undergoing treatment for fear psychosis.
The blog claims that Stuempfl has mailed across the marriage certificates and Arthur’s birth certificate apart from some photographs to convince the blogger of the truth. “...life goes on and we all have to learn. Everyone is changing in time to be better,  and so will she.  She is a good person. Just a little crazy,” he said.
