Mahima-Deepali duo wins title

Mahima Agarwal teamed up with Deepali R Q and dashed the title hopes of Apeksha Naik-Tanvee S K duo with a 21-2, 21-6 thrashing in the finals of the girls’ under-10 doubles event in the East Cultural Association Arattukulam State-ranking badminton tournament here on Sunday.
Mahima now stands in line for a double as she  secured a final berth in the under-10 singles  with a facile 21-2, 21-4 victory over Anisha Krishna.
In the title clash, Mahima  will meet Deepali Karumbaiah, who outclassed Aashi Gupta 21-16, 21-9 in the other semifinal.
Jacqueline advances
Jacqueline R Kunnath drubbed Mishika Gupta 21-7, 21-5 to enter the quartefinals in the girls under-16 category.
Also joining Jacqueline  in the last eight phase are Priya Prakash, Sindhu Bharadwaj, Anusha D Karumbaiah, Rishika Radhakrishnan and Anagha Unni.Meanwhile Mithun Manjunath entered the semifinals in the boys U-10 category with a 21-5, 21-7 verdict over Syed Saadali.
