Reliance Communications (RCOM) and research in motion announced, on Monday, the launch of Blackberry wireless solutions on the CDMA network in India.
RCOM is first to launch Blackberry 8830 world edition smartphone in India which allows interoperability between CDMA and ubiquitous GSM network, which delivers high internet speed on one side and offers international roaming across the globe on the other to enhance productivity of both enterprise and professionals on the move.
The models launched are Blackberry Pearl priced at Rs 24,990, Blackberry 8703e for Rs 22,990, Blackberry Curve at Rs 24,990 and Blackberry 8830 world edition for Rs 33,990. Blackberry 8830 and 8703e handsets will be available in 16 cities to start with.

RCOM is offering Bloomberg professional services on Blackberry via Reliance Mobile. With this subscribers to the Bloomberg professional service can receive and send Bloomberg email and instant messages, view their customised Bloomberg data, news, analysts, charts, monitors, market updates and other wireless services 24 hours a day.
Reliance Communications President Prakash Bajpai said, in future “we plan to launch SAP, ERP, pharmaceutical, banking etc services for enterprise applications.”
