A five-day Ganesha painting exhibition will be organised by Orchid Art Gallery, Kadri between September 11 and 16, said William Pais of Orchid Art Gallery.

Speaking at a press meet organised on Monday, he said the exhibition which coincides with the Ganesha festival will showcase paintings of around 20 well-known and upcoming artists from Mangalore and Udupi. Around 30 paintings depicting Ganesha in various forms and manifestations portrayed through realistic and modern art will be on display. The exhibition will be inaugurated by Mr Vinay Hegde, a noted educationist of Mangalore. Karavali Group of Institutions Chairman Ganesh Rao and M R Pavanje, a noted artiste of Mangalore, will be the guest of honour. The exhibition will be inaugurated at the art gallery at 9 am, he added.
