One killed in mishap in Kundapur
Kundapur, DHNS:

A youth was killed in a road accident at Kandlur-Mulugudde on Monday. The deceased has been identified as Hanumantha, resident of Gajanur and the cleaner of a lorry.

The lorry loaded with cement collided with a private bus. The lorry driver thereby lost control over the vehicle and hit a tree nearby and then toppled over a ditch. In this fatal accident, Hanumantha was stuck under the lorry cabin, below his waist.

The local residents came to his rescue, but all efforts to pull him out went in vain. Kundapur police and fire personnel rushed to the spot.

However, Hanumanth was pulled out by 11.30 am after a hour long operation and was rushed to Kandlur Hospital. But,  as the doctors expressed doubts over internal injury, he was later shifted to Chinmayee Hospital in Kundapur where he succumbed to his injuries.
