Members of Arasu, Raju Kshatriya Samaja staged a protest rally, demanding internal reservation, in Tumkur on Monday.

The rally which began at Town Hall circle where they staged a road block, and culminated at the deputy commissioner office. They submitted a memorandum to the deputy commissioner there.

The Kshatriya community has remained economically, educationally, socially and politically backward, the protesters maintained.

Internal reservation will help the community to provide good education and better facilities for their next generation at least, they claimed.

Former prime minister H D Deve Gowda’s assurance regarding the internal reservation was also mentioned.
However, no step has been taken to implement it, they said. Office-bearers K N Srinivasaraja Urs, T H Krishnamuty Urs were present at the occasion .
