English bowlers showed great proficiency in the art of effective
bowling both in taking wickets and in keeping Indian batsmen from scoring.
It was a highly professional performance as compared to softish
Indian attack.
Indian batting was inexplicably poor yesterday. Aleem Dar's two
blunders added to Indian woes and broke the back of Indian batting.
They also precluded the match from being an even contest.
Umpiring ought to be made error-free by using Third umpire facility.
In the past, in absence of this facility, it was a matter of
helplessness, but not any longer.
The final scoreline 4:3 is a fair one as even Rahul Dravid has
admitted.
Indians need to improve in all departments of the game to be
winning in crunch situations more often.
