This equipment is the precious property of a farmer, Basavalingappa of Surshettykoppa, Dharwad district.

According to Basavalingappa, this 5 feet long, 5 kg heavy sickle is renowned as a multipurpose equipment. This sickle can trim bushes, cut plants to size, and even plough wet lands at the time of watering agricultural land. In fact, this sickle is used extensively in paddy fields.

But then, in this age of modern gadgets, who wishes to use such old equipments, asks Basavalingappa.
