Bidadalli, who was granted bail in 2005, was absconding for the past two years. He is accused of preparing fake documents to help “place” unemployed BEd graduates as primary and high school teachers in various schools in Bangalore Rural district. After passing SSLC in 1985, Bidadalli joined as a ‘D’ group employee in a government high school. He resigned after a year. When an assistant teacher of a government school in Hirekeruru of Haveri district died in 1994, Bidadalli got an affidavit done through the teacher’s wife and managed to prepare a family tree.According to these fake documents, Bidadalli was the brother of the deceased teacher’s wife. Through these papers, he managed to get the job of a first division clerk at Ramanagara and Kadasikoppa government school on compassionate grounds.
He also promised unemployed graduates jobs and collected Rs 3-4 lakh each from 11 BEd graduates. He bribed the employees of offices of deputy director of public instruction and block education officers and sought their assistance in preparing fake appointment letters. When the government decided to transfer additional faculty members from private unaided schools to government schools in 2003, he prepared fake certificates in the names of unemployed BEd graduates that said some teachers had been transferred to government schools. He also prepared fake papers that helped newly-transferred teachers get salaries.
