The Karavali group of Colleges have readied a new campus at Neermarga. According to a press release, this is the third campus of the group. the 50,000 sq foot building houses Karavali Institute of Technology.
In the meanwhile, the Karavali Institute of Technology secured the recognition of All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) recently. The Institution will start functioning in the current academic year with an intake of 240 students in four branches of Engineering. The institute offers courses in Information Science and Engineering, Computer Science Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering and Electrical and Electronics Engineering, each with an admission capacity of 60. The college is also affiliated to the Vishweshvaraya Technological University and is recognised by the state government.
The first phase of construction including laboratories, library, auditorium and other necessary facilities as per the norms of the university and AICTE has been completed with a project outlay of Rs 6 crores. The second and third phase with an outlay of Rs 14 crores will be completed in three to four years. This includes hostels for ladies and gents, staff quarters and indoor and outdoor stadium.
