Spears to blame for MTV awards fiasco
Troubled pop singer Britney Spears, working on a comeback, had no one to blame but herself for her disastrous performance at the MTV Video Music awards recently, reports IANS from New York.

A day before the performance she partied till early morning and showed up for the performance late with a drink in her hand.

“She didn’t even get to Las Vegas until 4.30 pm. It was ridiculous. The production people at MTV were freaking out. Nobody can tell Britney what to do anymore. No one can control her. She is a mess,” pagesix.com quoted a source as saying.

Jessica wants to get back to her roots
Singer Jessica Simpson is planning to get back to her Texan roots, says her father. She has bought a new cowboy hat and is planning to do a country record, reports IANS from New York.

People.com quoted her father Joe, who is also her manager, as saying: "Everything in our business is about beats and I think she really wants to sing, and country music still believes in that."

The singer-actress has just wrapped up shooting for the movie Major Movie Star and wants to get back to music.
