Shoba (20), who was pregnant, has left a suicide note saying her husband, Shivkumar, an employee at the sub-registrar’s office, was responsible for her taking this step. They were married for one and a half years.
Shivakumar used to demand more money from her parents. Shoba was found hanging by her mother Jayamma who had come from Tumkur. Her parents too held Shivakumar responsible for their daughter’s death.

Student ends his life
A 18-year-old student committed suicide by hanging at his residence at 8th Cross, 3rd Block, HMT layout in Vidyaranyapura police limits on Wednesday evening. The deceased has been identified as Chetan. He was a II PUC student at MS Ramaiah College. Chetan was disappointed after a girl refused to accept his proposal and decided to end his life.
