K A Rajkumar, General Manager (Traffic) KSRTC, said 400 extra buses have been pressed into service to meet increased demand beginning Friday.
“We will operate additional services across all categories of buses to all parts of the state for the Gowri-Ganesha festival. We do not estimate the increase in percentage of commuters. It is calculated as operating additional schedules (buses)”, Mr Rajkumar said.
Mahesh Mangal, Divisional Railway Manager, South Western Railways said Holiday Special Trains are being operated to all parts of the State and beyond from Onam onwards.
They would continue up to Dasara and Deepavali.
