"What is your point, Mr HDK?"
DH News Service, Tumkur:

“What is the Chief Minister trying to prove with his Kunigal visit scheduled for the 22 of this month?”
This was BJP leader and President of Mysore paper mills’ B Suresh Gowda’s rude  question to the leader of the coalition government which  partnered by his party.

He was addressing a meet of the BJP workers at Ballagere  village. He severely  criticised the Chief Minister’s frequent visits to the area and also took the other representatives of the people to task as well.

Inactive
“ For the  last  three and  half years these representatives have warmed their chairs and have done nothing for the  development of Kunigal.

Now as the time for the transfer of  power  draws closer, they want to invite the Chief Minister. What is the point that they are trying to prove.” he  wanted to  know.

No help
He also added that the  Chief Minister had visited the  state three times before, but those visits had done nothing for Kunigal. He said that if the  leaders did not clarify the frequent visits, the general public  would  understand as political gimmick and nothing  more.

He even commented the only benefit of these stunts is that the  public enjoy a free of  cost entertainment.

White paper
The leader took the local legislator to task and  pressed for a white paper about the number of irrigation project that have been  started in the area along with the industries. He demanded to know what the JD(S) which  has been in power  for the  last  40 months in  Kunigal has  done for the  region in  terms of  urbanisation and development.

Participation
Among those who participated in the meet were Taluk Panchayat president N  Narasimhamurthy, member Anand and others.

Another highlight of the programme was that many  Congress workers  include  Ballegere Venkatesh and Dairy Venkatesh quit the party to join Bharatiya Janata Party.
