B’day celebrations
Vishnu Sena Samiti will offer bagina to women on Friday as part of Vishnuvardhan’s birthday celebration. This will be offered at Gayatri theatre, where the film is being screened at 1 pm.

Literacy programme
A literacy programme aimed at converting all illeterates in the age group of 15 to 35, into literates in Tumkur district, said district sakshara mitra project secretary.

These programmes will be held at the zilla panchayat offices.

NGOs will be identified to execute the programme. Interested NGOs may send in thier applications to Sakshara Mitra, district adult education officer’s office, Tumkur.

Applications invited
Applications have been invited from eligible candidates to fill in posts of anganawadi workers in 21 villages of Madhugiri taluk. Interested may obtain the application forms from Child Development Officer, Madhugiri and return the same before September 18.
