The Popular Resistance Committees (PRC), a militant group, on Thursday announced rocket attacks against Israel lasting until the end of the Muslim holy month of Ramadan, which began on Thursday. In a press statement, the PRC said its campaign, called “The Messages of Death,” will include rocket attacks on Israeli cities and military bases alongside the Gaza Strip.

As part of the campaign, the PRC said it had targeted an Israeli army base in eastern Gaza with four mortar shells. The brigades also fired three homemade rockets into Sderot, Ashkelon and Zikim towns in southern Israel.
“The operation is a response to the Israeli crimes against our people in the Gaza Strip and to affirm the continuation of resistance,” the statement said.
