KPTCL beat HAL for title
Karnataka Power Transmisson Corporation Limited defeated Hindustan Aeronautics Limited 32-20 to win the industries kabaddi tournament on Thursday. For the winners Kiran G Mutturaj played well. Shaji led the HAL forays with some fine moves.
In the third-place play-off, HMT trounced MICO, Adugodi 48-19 as they led 25-8 in the half-time. Soundararaj and Thyagaraj came up with a good performance for the winners. Ganesh Rao played well for MICO.
Jain International in lead
Hosts Jain International Residential School lead the points table after the third day of the inter-school sports festival for JASE Cup here on Thursday. JIRS is followed by TISB and Sri Kumaran Children Home.

Inter-CBSE football tourney
The BGS International Residential School will conduct Under-19 boys’ inter-CBSE cluster VII football tournament starting on October 16. The four-day event will see round 164 CBSE  teams from Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh taking part in the tournaments. The last date for entries is Sept 30. For details, contact Mahesh Bala.
