Boy bitten by dog
DH News Service, Bangalore:
Eight year old Karthik was bitten by a street dog in Thambu Chetty Palya, Ramamurthy Nagar on Thursday morning when he was going to buy kerosene for his mother along with his sister.

His sister’s cry attracted the attention of a passerby, who chased the dog and rescued the boy.
“The man told me that if he had not come on time, the dog would have mauled my son,” said Karthik’s mother Rathnamma. The man picked up Karthik and brought him home.
“We took him to KR Puram government hospital but the doctors there asked us to come on Sunday. We then took him to Manipal hospital in Ramamurthy Nagar, where they gave him an injection for Rs 500. We took Karthik back today to KR Puram Hospital and they told us that they will give him a course of three injections, worth Rs 100 each,” said the distraught mother.
