The speed with which the BCCI has accepted Rahul Dravid's resignation as captain is more shocking than Dravid's resignation as such! Did the Board and the selection committee sit together to consider the resignation letter in such a short time to dispose it off?
What was the urgency to dispose the issue? Such questions will certainly bother cricket followers, as Dravid did fairly well as captain of the Indian team. Therefore there must have been lobbies to remove Dravid from the captaincy, due to which he was under pressure to quit the captaincy himself.
In any case the BCCI stands to explain the truth behind the issue as the cricket fraternity has the right to know.
