V Ruth Misha handed over Varsha V Belwadi a 21-12, 21-10 lesson to set up the title clash with Monisha Vinayak in the women’s singles event of the ECA State-ranking badminton tournament here on Saturday.
Monisha assured her title round entry by warding off the challenge of Nischitha G M 21-18, 23-21. Anyhow, Ruth holds the edge in the Sunday’s final as she has defeated Monisha 21-17, 21-18 on Saturday in the girls’ Under-19 semifinal.
Ruth’s opponent in the under-19 is Ashwini Ponnappa who got the better of Ankita Ashoka 21-18, 21-16.
