The BESCOM task force in Tumkur started  legal action against  two people in the  city  for power theft and illegal power usage after a recent raid.The raid  was  conducted un der the  leadership if SP C N  Bhandari and. Assistant  executive engineer B Kakhandaki and his collegue M Srininvas Prasad, Y  S  Suresh and Govindraju were also part of the raid team. A case was registered against one Basavaraju for obtaining illegal  power connection for 16 sheds. In another incident Puttaiaha of Dasakere village in Chiknayakanahalli was  sentenced to  3 months imprisonment and levied a fine of Rs 3000 for by the courts for power theft.
