Logo on Bhagat’s birth centenary
Ahead of the birth centenary celebrations of Bhagat Singh, the Delhi government has come up with letter heads and envelopes with a logo displaying the birth year of the freedom fighter, reports PTI from New Delhi.
“The logo highlighting the important events in history, including the birth anniversary of Singh, get printed on the letter heads and envelopes used for making correspondence with other organisations and departments,” said a government official. The logo was approved by the National Implementation Committee under the Ministry of Human Resource Development.

Bhagat Singh centenary will be observed on September 28.

Neighbours murder child
A couple were arrested in Kurei village under Talsara police station in Orissa’s Sundergarh district on the charges of murdering a five-year-old kid, reports UNI from Roukela.

Police said on Sunday that Iswar Barik and his wife killed Tusa, son of their neighbour Hiradhar Barik to settle score over a long property dispute. Iswar and his wife lured Tusa drowned him in a pond and later buried him near the pond.

NRI police station in Punjab
The Punjab government, in its effort to redress the grievances and problems faced by the NRIs during their temporary stay in the state, has decided to set up special police stations for them, reports PTI from Moga (Punjab).

The NRI police station will start functioning from January next year.
