Many advertisements for headache remedies make us wonder which remedy to use because each one of them claims to be the sure remedy to get rid of this nagging headache. I try now this now that and yet the headache persists.

There are many who give us free advice, home remedies and each of them claims to be infallible.

When you approach a regular doctor, he enquire into the causes and by a process of elimination and also by listening to the symptoms closely and aided by medical tests comes to a reasonable conclusion and if a specialist needs to be consulted he would even recommend you to do that. Sometimes all these fail then it is high time for us to seek the divine physician.

There is no cost involved here except an open heart and a readiness to change and follow the prescription of the divine physician.

Maybe I am not at peace within myself; maybe I have suddenly lost trust in everyone around me and become unreasonably suspicious.

It could even be a bout of uncontrolled anger or bottled up anger that adds pressure. You could even see in some people's temples signs of these e.g., a vein standing out and eyes staring.

If at that time you were to turn to this divine physician who is close to you, more intimate to you than you are to yourself (St. Augustine has described him in Latin as "intimus intimior meo" meaning "the intimate one more intimate to me than I am to myself") then my friend you will begin to find the proper remedy.

The Psalmist in a significant passage says that when he goes to bed he does not toss about in sleeplessness but falls silently asleep like a trusting child on the mother's bosom.

So try to take all the measures that God suggests to you so that you could have a peaceful conscience.
Wordsworth in his Pupa's song sings that God is in his world and all is right with the world.

So why bother as if the whole world were depending on you or that the whole of humanity were against you, which can at the most be, only an exaggeration.
There is nothing like a peaceful conscience for a good, constant, over all good health. Jesus also counsels: "Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth."(Mt 5.5)

Here the word meek means those who accept the word of God and the way God acts in the world and in their life without protesting against him in any way.

Obviously the meek person has a simple, good, God-fearing conscience.
