Govts welfare programmes
DH News Service,Tumkur:

JD(S) leader and spokesperson has toured the district, following the local body election recently.
Speaking at the party activists meeting, he said the party will do well in the coming election. Hence, the activists should get ready for the election, he added.

The coalition government led by H D Kumaraswamy has succeeded in gaining the applause from people for the welfare programmes. ‘Village stay’ and ‘Janata darshan’ have allowed people to share their problems with the Chief Minister.

People have appreciated the development programmes and  government’s stand towards farmers. The party should face the election  in this regard, he added.

Speaking on the occasion MLA  K N Rajanna said there should not be any groupism in the party. Moreover, each activist should be ready to work and sacrifice anything for the party.  All party activists should support  the party candidate, he added. Though Tumkur is a district, it has no basic facilities. The roads have become drainage, it is very hard to find drainage in the city.

The authorities concerned should give importance for constructing roads and drainage in 35 wards. Upper bridge work should be started  at the earliest, he added.

Mr Rajanna said Hemavati water is not being supplied to all regions of the City. He called on the activists to ensure that Rs 54 crore released by the government will not be misused.

Stating that JD(S) will win the local body election, he said the party would give prominence for the development of basic facilities of all regions in the district.

Party City Unit President B G Vijayaprakash Mirji said the Coalition government has worked for the welfare of people by banning the lottery and liquor in the state. The activists should make people to become aware of welfare programmes, to perform well in the election.
