Corp Bank observes Hindi Day

Corporation Bank celebrated Hindi Day function at its millennium building Mangalore on Monday.

The programme was inaugurated by Corporation Bank Chairman and Managing Director B Sambamurthy who said that Corporation Bank has been the pioneer in implementation of Hindi in administration and accordingly it has bagged Indira Gandhi Rajbhasha Shield twice. He said that recognition in form of awards always acts as incentives to be better .

Delivering the presidential address, Corporation Bank Executive Director K L Gopalkrishna said that usage of Hindi must be expanded in all sectors and in this direction new and innovative methods must be implemented.
He said that Corporation Bank had conducted online Hindi quiz as a part of the Hindi Day celebration, in which the employees had participated with great zeal and enthusiasm.

He urged the gathering not to confine Hindi language implementation to such celebrations but make conversing in Hindi a part of their lives and resolve on this day to promote Hindi language.

Winners of various competitions were given with prizes. Official Language Division Chief Manager Dr J P Nautiyal, General Manager N R Shet and others were present.
