Importance of Hindi stressed
Mangalore, dhns:

“Legally Hindi is called the Administrative language but Indians have raised Hindi to the position of being the national language,” said Town Official Language Committee Member Secretary Dr Jayanthiprasad Nautiyal.
Addressing the Hindi Day celebration by Bharath Sanchar Nigam Limited and All India Radio Mangalore on Tuesday, Dr Nautiyal said that Hindi should not be looked at as a language but it should be looked at as a composite culture and as the identity of our culture.

“If one wants to finish or doom a nation, all that they need to do is kill the culture. In this direction, we need to save our culture so that our nation will live prosperously,” he added and called upon the participants to resolve to use Hindi in day to day life, without confining Hindi to one day celebration.

Delivering the presidential address, BSNL DK Telecom District Principal General Manager T N Sudhindra said that the Constitution clearly states that no language is inferior any language but Hindi is the link language and it has the power to bind all other languages together.

AIR Station Engineer S Ajitha was the chief guest of the programme who distributed prizes to the winners of various competitions held as a part of the Hindi day celebration.
‘Indradhanush,’ variety entertainment programme was held.
