URBAN GOVERNANCE
Janaagraha-Tamil Nadu takes off in Chennai
Chennai, dhns:

Janaagraha-Tamil Nadu, the first branch outside Bangalore  of the Janaagraha Centre for Citizenship and Democracy, was launched on Monday at Chennai.

Ramesh Ramanathan, Co-founder Janaagraha, speaking at the launch said that the setting up of the Janaagraha office in Tamil Nadu was the first step in the direction of Janaagraha vision to “change the trajectory of India, in the context of a better quality of life in urban India”.

Milestone
“It marks a significant milestone in taking Janaagraha’s urban governance framework to other states, and extending the work that remains to be done across cities in India,” he said. The City Connect platform was also launched on the occasion and a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the Confederation of Indian Industries (CII) and Janaagraha on a Knowledge Partnership on urban governance. Minister for Local Administration, MK Stalin launched Janaagraha-Tamil Nadu.
