Jeev ends brightly
Colgone (Germany), PTI:
Jeev Milkha Singh played a bogey-free final round to card five-under 67, catapulting him to tied 16th place at the end of the elite Mercedes-Benz Championship at the Gut Larchenhof Golf Club.

Jeev, who had an up-and-down tournament, totalled seven-under 281 even as his fellow Indian Jyoti Randhawa carded an even par 72 with a closing double bogey and ended tied 57th at three-over 291. Two eagles on the back nine helped Denmark’s Soren Hansen claim the championship with a final round of 67.
Jeev slotted one birdie on the front nine on par-five seventh and birdied 10th, 11th, 13th and 15th on back nine for a 67.
Woods triumphs
Tiger Woods easily fended off his challengers to capture the 2007 Tour Championship by eight strokes and collect 11.2 million dollars in prize and bonus money on Sunday, reports AFP from Atlanta (Georgia).
Woods, who has won four of his past five tournaments, fired a four-under 66 for his 61st career PGA Tour victory. The 13-time major winner became the first player in PGA Tour history to win seven or more events in a season four different times. He is now one win away from equalling Arnold Palmer (62) for fourth on the all-time win list.
